Ethnocosmolgy, the future of Anthropology.

Alarmism is a widespread disease in the hypochondriac world of Anthropology. Many people attack the most classic foundations of our discipline with fallacious and llegedly modern arguments. Only a blockhead would claim that our study object does not exist anymore.

On the contrary, some young anthropologists who have nothing to loose but time in the unemployment queue, look onward with optimism and see what will be our glorious gift for Ethnology. Everyday we get more information about planets, satellites and distant stars, and the number of witnesses of contacts with extraterrestrial life are steadily increasing. Of course the university does not pay attention to this development ,and cedes the field to the study and observation to journalists, amateurs and freaks, thus trivializing it to shaming extremes. Sooner or later there shall be no choice but to admit that we are not alone in the universe. And who is going to study our new neighbours then?

In the light of such a magnificent social and cultural otherness, it will be expected of anthropologists to take over a leading role. But if there is no previous work done, there will be nothing but silence and ridicule. Just like a century ago, when investigators were sent by anthropology departments to the most remote places in the world, we must now train ethnographists with the theoretical basics and the practical tools that enable them to contact new forms of intelligent life.

As long as our universities do not take this step forward, the recently constituted Extraterrestrial Ethnology Study Center (EESC/CEEE) will continue to promote and facilitate the development of this new and special field of study. This new startup of anthropology will put the next generations of ethnocosmologists in the position to live a new golden classical age of our science. In a few years, as a result of our efforts, we will be discovering how Selenites practice Kula, which is the martian pantheon or which are the basis of family on Alpha-Centauri.
